INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

The resin lacquer mixture, invented by Nielaba in the early 1990s alongside the technique of applying it, enables him to introduce innovative solutions not only in the realm of art, but also in many sectors of industry. The mixture can be used in designing the interiors of residential and commercial areas, advertising, as well as on yachts, airplanes and various surfaces in the open air.

The process of inventing and developing this method encompasses over 30 years of work. The idea originally stemmed from the need to provide adequate protection to objects painted by Nielaba with airbrush, and then to protect large-format photographs used in advertising. The available impregnating agents often faded the painted surface or failed to reflect the overall effect that Nielaba wanted to achieve. It therefore became necessary to create a lacquer mixture maximally capable of meeting the artist’s requirements. Taking into account the uncompromising character of Nielaba’s art and his exquisite technique, it was no easy feat.

Later Nielaba began using his invention in other fields, not necessarily related to art. He solved problems connected with working with different materials that needed protection against rust, soaking, water absorption and solar radiation or perfectly smooth and shiny surfaces that were fully resistant to the changing weather conditions. Nielaba’s mixture can be used to lacquer, varnish, glue, preserve and connect various carrier materials. Moreover, it can plasticise materials that are normally used only in their hard form, such as carbon fibre, timber or metal.
